The primary activity at the clinic is treating patients with original raw drugs obtained from genuine sources. The raw drugs are pulverised and packed in food grade plastic covers and dispensed at the clinic dispensary. Coarse herbal powders, fine herbal powders, tablets, medicated oils etc. (classical pharmaceutical modes) are prepared only for the medical practice at the clinic. It is not intended for commercial sale.

About Us

Ambuja Institute of Ayurvedic Research and Documentation was established in April 2011 at Udayamperoor, Ernakulum District, Kerala state, South India. The Research Institute is the culmination of a decade long work at Ambuja Ayurvedic Clinic by the founders Prof. Dr. N. Purushothaman and Prof.Dr.DileepKumar P. P.

Medical Director Prof.Dr. DileepKumar P. P is an Ayurvedic practitioner belonging to the lineage of Ayurveda Vaidyas practicing the Science since seven generations.

Dr. Dileep Kumar was taught Sanskrit language at the tender age of six by his father Prof. Dr. N. Purushothaman (Retired from Govt. Ayurveda College Thripunithura).

In the following years he began to study texts like the Ashtanga Hridaya, Sahasrayoga and Madhava nidana which he completed by his seventeenth year.

Up until the completion of his Ayurveda Academics MD, PhD, it was his firm belief that contemporary Ayurvedic practice was as per the academic and practical norms.

Upon realisation that this was not true he started to give awareness to Scholars, Universities, Central agencies etc.

This he continued for 14 long years through various means until the year 2007 when he realized that all such attempts were futile due to vested interests and personal agendas of these groups.

Thus he started his own Research Institute strictly with funds generated through genuine consumers like patients of Ayurveda who approached him and no fund whatsoever from any agency, body or the Government.

Ayurveda – the traditional medical system of India is the combined essence derived from the visions and experiences of ancient man through different ages since pre-historical era.

This science of life deals with both preventive and curative aspects of health care.

It also instructs the way of life that promotes natural resistance to maintain positive health.

This versatile empowerment is being availed with cure of diseases by genuine classical formulations when managed as per Vedic norms.

He was travelled all across the country especially Indian forest and herb gardens for identifying vedic herbal resources by rectifying the controversies to a great extent.

AIARD entertained farmers using organic methods for cultivating nearly 89 medicinal plants to use in the clinical practice. Gravious diseases like diabetics, dyslipidemia, carcinoma, deep vein thrombosis and coronary artery disease etc.. are being treated here by utilizing there resources. At the same time attempts are being done for rectifying the controversies in the Academy and trade by interacting with professional,government authorities and also with academic experts.
